Himalayan Association for Sustainable Development (HASD) a non-governmental organization registered under the provisions of Himachal Pradesh Registration Act, 2006 (Act No. 25 of 2006) in 2020. HASD has been set up by the qualified and dedicated professionals to provide the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. The society address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace and justice. The major aim of the society is to balance our economic, environmental and social needs, allowing prosperity for now and future generations. Sustainable development consists of a long-term, integrated approach to developing and achieving a healthy community by jointly addressing economic, environmental, and social issues, whilst avoiding the over consumption of key natural resources. The HASD has taken initiative to provide a platform to the scientists, policy makers, farmers, students and other stakeholders to discuss various issues relating to Medical, Agricultural Research. HASD has provided platform for such dialogues among various scientist and stakeholders. In the current scenario, issues related to Biodiversity Conservation, Integrated Approaches to Manage Natural Resources for their judicious use in enhancing Agricultural Production, Human Health, Food Processing and Value Addition are main areas of concern and focus. Keeping in view all the above, we have planned to establish an organization to create awareness among different classes of people and systematically encourage them to get involved in conservation and natural protection of our depreciating resources
